ANNOUNCES CONTRACT MANUFACTURING
OF BIOLOGICALS
BEDFORD, OH--February 12, 1998--Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc., is now accepting contracts to develop and manufacture products regulated by the Center for Biological Evaluation and Research of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. "Producing biologicals requires dedicated equipment and procedures," said Thomas Russillo, president of Ben Venue Laboratories. "We have made the investment to allow us to produce biologicals because we see it as a growing portion of our business."

A Boon to Phase I Clinical Production
BEDFORD, OH--January 16, 1998--Ben Venue Laboratories, Inc. has enlarged its capability to produce parenteral products for clinical studies. The company, already a major developer and manufacturer of sterile products for clinical and commercial scale use, has purchased an additional filling line which will be dedicated to small batches. "We expect the new equipment will allow us to better service our rapidly-growing clinical materials business," said Thomas Russillo, president. The new filling line is intended for batch sizes typical of Phase I clinical studies.

ACQUISITION OF BEN VENUE LABORATORIES
IN THE U.S.
RIDGEFIELD, CT--December 2, 1997--Boehringer Ingelheim, a chemical and pharmaceutical company with headquarters in Ingelheim, Germany, announced today that its U.S. subsidiary, Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation, of Ridgefield, CT has received approval from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to acquire the Ben Venue Group of Companies, of Bedford, Ohio.
Ben Venue Laboratories is a leading contract developer and manufacturer of sterile pharmaceuticals in America. Through its Bedford Laboratories division, it is also a leading producer of generic injectable pharmaceuticals. Although less than four years old, Bedford currently markets over 30 products.
